Nikki Galrani is an Indian actress and model who appears in South Indian films. In January 2013, Nikki was chosen to play the lead role in Ajith, the Kannada remake of the Tamil film Paiyaa, after an audition. Later, Nikki Galrani signed her first Tamil film, Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka and her first Malayalam film 1983 opposite Nivin Pauly.
Though it was the last film she signed, 1983 released first and became her debut film. She played Manjula Sasidharan, a rural village school girl. She said that the character was exactly the opposite of what she was in real life and that she had to sunbathe to get dark for the role. The film received critical acclaim and became a box office success. Nikki had done a cameo role in Nivin Pauly's Ohm Shanthi Oshaana, which released a week later.
