Anumol is a south Indian film actress, predominantly acting in Malayalam and Tamil movies. She is known for her stellar performances in acclaimed Malayalam movies such as Ivan Megharoopan, Akam, Vedivazhipadu and Chayilyam.Anumol was born in Naduvattam near Pattambi, Palakkad district, Kerala. She completed her schooling from Presentation Convent, Perinthalmanna and graduation in Engineering (Information Technology) from the Hindustan College, Coimbatore.

Starting her film career with the Tamil movies Kannukkulle, Ramar and Suran, Anumol forayed into Malayalam cinema with P. Balachandran’s Ivan Megharoopan, a biopic based on the poet P. Kunhiraman Nair. She stole audience attention with her subtle portrayal of the poet’s lady love Thankamani and mesmerizing them with the hit song 'Aande Londe'. In Akam that followed, the remake of Malayattoor’s Yakshi, she creditably played the challenging role of Ragini. These two significant portrayals brought her the rare honor of receiving the Surya film award for the best debutant actress in 2012. Though her subsequent movies David and Goliath and God for Sale were hero-oriented Anumol received excellent reviews for her good performance. Her most memorable performance to date has been as Theyyam artiste Gauri in Manoj Kana’s Chayilyam, a role that took her on the threshold of winning the year's National Film Award for the Best Actress. Her latest release was Parayan Baaki Vechathu, a political thriller directed by Karim, disciple of famed director Bharathan. Anumol is currently working on Maram Peyyumbol, written and directed by Anil Thomas, based on the Aruna Shanbaug incident that rocked India. Another promising movie on the anvil is Njan a film by Ranjith where she plays the lead with Dulquar Salman
